Breastfeeding More Than One Baby It is possible to breastfeed twins or triplets. It may be more difficult and more demanding, but many women successfully breastfeed more than one baby. We know breast milk is especially valuable for small or premature infants; often twins or triplets are both. If you want to breastfeed, do it!
Extra Help After The Babies Are Born Even the most efficient woman discovers having more than one baby can be exhausting. Extra help can make a tremendous difference in everyone's life. Your time of greatest need is immediately after your babies are born. Ask for help from family, neighbors and friends for the first 4 to 6 weeks after you bring your babies home. There are some wonderful resource groups for parents and families of multiples.
